Definition of inference:

Inference is the way of drawing a conclusion by applying clues (of logic, statistics etc.) to observations or hypotheses; or next logical step in an intuited pattern. The last pattern of drawing is called inference. In the field of logic, the valid inference models are described. Human inference can be studied with the field of cognitive psychology; and then artificial intelligence researchers developed inference systems for the human inference.

Accuracy of Inductive Inference:

A conclusion is made inferred from the multiple observations, this process is known as inductive reasoning. The conclusion we made is correct , degree of accuracy is correct in some situations determinant of matrix. Conclusions for multiple observations can be tested by additional observations. Let us see about inference models below.

Examples of Deductive Inference:

The inference models are below:
1.All women are Indian.
2.Sarojini Naidu is a woman.
3.Therefore, Sarojini Naidu is Indian.

Math Question and Answer

Factoring of polynomials is the inverse process of multiplying polynomials. After factoring a polynomial, then divide the polynomial with the factors then the remainder will be zero.
Consider the identity a2 - b2 = (a + b)(a - b).In this identity a2 - b2 is the polynomial and a + b and a - b are the factors.
If we divide the polynomial with a + b or a - b then the remainder is 0.
Let us learn about factoring quadratic polynomial. Quadratic polynomial has three terms. They can be factored in three ways.
1. Factoring by grouping
2. completing the square
3. Using quadratic formula.
Some of the identities used while factoring polynomials are
  • a2 + 2ab + b2 = (a + b)2
  • a2 - 2ab + b2 = (a - b)2
  • a2 - b2 = (a + b)(a - b)
  • x2 + x(a + b) + ab=(x + a)(x + b)
  • a3 + b3 = (a + b)(a2 - ab + b2)
  • a3 - b3 = (a - b)(a2 + ab + b2)

How to Factor Polynomials

Let us study the steps to factor a polynomial by grouping method.
First find if there is any common factor in all the terms in the given polynomial or try to find the GCD of all the terms in the polynomial and take it out and write the remaining terms in a ().
Check with any above and try to write the factors.

Growing up with Mathematics

Let us learn how to add fractions
Adding fractions is of 2 kinds, - Adding fractions with same denominators.
- Adding fractions with different denominator
Below are the steps to show how to add fractions.
Adding fractions is very simple task it needs LCM technique to add fractions. And it also contains following method
Example: If c/a & d/b are the fractions then ab is the least common multiple of a and b.
c/a + d/b
Now divide LCM ab with a = ab/a = b and multiply with its numerator c = b x c = bc
Now again divide LCM ab with b = ab/b = a and multiply it with its numerator d = a x d = ad
Now we get
c/a + d/b = (bc + ad)/ab

How to add fractions online

Adding fractions online is the system that used to add the fractions in online. How to add fractions online teaches a clear way to calculate the fractions i.e. how to add fractions online.
Steps involved in fraction adding online:
• Need to enter the fractions in given fields.
• Ask for the desired answer.
• Check the answer.
It gives out the result instantly.
Example:
1/10 + 2/6 = ? LCM = 30
(6 + 20)/30 = 26/30
= 13/15.

Introduction to Learning Geometry in Space
Geometry in space is the study of simple shapes, defining their properties and along with the formulas for finding the areas or volumes of the shapes. The Greek mathematicians of Euclid create a definition, axioms and postulates to study about the Geometry help online in Space. He used the term ‘postulate’ for assumptions that were specific to geometry. Axioms, on the other hand, were assumptions used throughout mathematics and not specifically linked to geometry.

Poisson Distribution Example

Introduction:
          Definition: A random variable X is  a Poisson distribution if the probability mass function of X is P(X = x) =e−λ  λx / x!,                                       x = 0,1,2, …for some λ > 0
The mean of  Poisson Distribution denoted by λ, and the variance is denoted by λ.
The parameter of Poisson distribution is λ.
The Poisson distribution is a restrictive case of binomial distribution table under the following conditions.
                         (i)   Number of trials(n) is indefinitely huge(large), that is n → ∞.
(ii)  The constant probability(p) of success in each trial is very less.
                                   ie., p → 0.
(iii) np = λ is finite where λ is a positive real number. When an event occurs rarely, the distribution of such event may beassumed to follow a Poisson distribution. The poisson distribution examples is give below..
Example 1: If a publisher of  technical books takes a great pain to ensure that his books are free of typological errors, so that the probability of any given page containing atleast one such error is 0.005 and errors are independent from page to page
  (i) what is the probability of its 400 page novels will contain exactly one page with error.
(ii) atmost three pages with errors.
[e−2 = 0.1353 ; e−0.2. = 0.819].

Solution :
                         n = 400 , p = 0.005
                         np = 2 = λ
         (i)  P(one page with error) = P(X = 1) = e−λ λ1/1! = e-2 21/1!
                                                              = 0.1363 × 2 = 0.2726
         (ii)  P(atmost 3 pages with error) = P(X ≤ 3)
                                                         = Σ e−λ λx / x!    [limits 0 to 3]
                                                         = `sum` e−2 (2)x  /  x!
                                                         = e2 [1 +2/1! + 22/2! + 23/3!]
                                                         = e−2 (19/3 )= 0.8569

How to do Division of Radicals

Introduction:
Radical numbers are in the form of square root. The square root present in the radical number may be either a cubic root or square root. The radical number is present inside each square root or cubic root. The index number is present outside the each square root or cubic root. For example, `root(3)(4)` is known as the radicals.

Example for How to do Division of Radicals

Example 1: How to divide the following radicals, `1/(sqrt(5) - sqrt(6))` .
Solution:
Step 1: Write the given radicals for division, we get,
`1/(sqrt(5) - sqrt(6))`
Step 2: The next step, for performing division , we have to take the conjugate. That means, the denominator term is taken and the sign of the denominator is changed. Then we have multiply the given radicals in both the numerator and denominator.
`1/(sqrt(5) - sqrt(6))`  `xx`  `(sqrt(5) + sqrt(6))/(sqrt(5) + sqrt(6))`
Step 3: By simplifying the above expression, we get,
`(sqrt(5) + sqrt(6))/(sqrt(5)^2 - sqrt(6)^2)`
`(sqrt(5) + sqrt(6))/(5 - 6)`
`(sqrt(5) + sqrt(6))/ - 1`
= - (  `sqrt(5) + sqrt(6)` )
       = - `sqrt(5)`  - `sqrt(6)`
This is the required solution for the division of radicals.

Explain Trigonometry Angles

Introduction:

Trigonometry is that branch of mathematics which deals with the measurement of sides and angles of triangles and to similar triangles.
Angles:

An angle is an amount of rotation of a half-line (or ray) in a plane about its end point from an initial position to a terminal position. The important terms are: Measurement of angle, Positive and Negative angles, Lines at right angles, Quadrants, Angle in standard position.

Measurement of Angles:
To measure an angle we shall use two kinds of units, the degree unit and the radian unit.
A degree(Sexagesimal system) is defined to be an angle formed by half-line (or a ray) rotated about its end point (1/360) of a complete revolution.
Types of Angles: Acute angle, Obtuse angle, Right angle, Reflex angle, A straight angle.
Radian Measure(Circular System)
A radian is the measuring angles at the centre of a circle subtended by an arc, whose arc length and arc length formula is equal to the radius of the circle.

Finding Percentage Difference

Introduction:

Percentage is expressing any number in a fraction with the denominator as 100. The symbol used for the percentage is ‘%’. Percentage difference is defined as the comparing a previous value to the new value and the percent difference.
Formula for percentage difference Calculator = [Previous value – new value] / 100

Word Problem on Find Percentage Difference:

David lived in a United States of America. When David left the country the population was 920 million. David recently heard that the population has decreased by 6%. What is the present population?
Solution:
Find out the decrease percentage 920*6/100 = 5520/100 = 55.2 million
Then the new population is old population minus the decreased population
      920-55.2 = 864.8 million
The population is now 864.8 million

Hope you liked the above explanation. You can learn more on Percentage difference formula through online. Please leave your comments, if you have any doubts.

Explain Statistical Graphical Representation

Introduction on Statistics and Graphical Representation:

Statistics is about collection of information and its presentation and about drawing inferences from these. We come across facts and figures in the newspapers, Television and the radio. The numerical figures are called "the data". If we have to draw good inferences from information collected, it has to be presented properly.
The graphical representation of data makes the reading more interesting, less time-consuming and easily understandable. The disadvantage of graphical presentation is that it lacks details and is less accurate. In our study, we have the following graphs: 1. Bar Graphs 2. Pie Charts 3. Frequency Polygon 4. Histogram.

Statistical Graphical Representation:

The scientific methods of collection of data, its classification and application to commerce and everyday life is called statistics. A list of some important terms as follows: (i) ungrouped data (ii) tabulation of data (iii) range (iv) frequency (v) frequency distribution (vi) tally (vii) inclusive type of grouped frequency distribution (viii) exclusive type of grouped frequency distribution (ix) lower limit and actual lower limit (x) upper limit and actual upper limit (xi) class size or class width (xii) class mark or class mid-interval (xiii) Variables (xiv) Continuous Variables (xv) Discrete Variables.

Radian Measure Circle

Introduction:
In mathematics the radian is a measure of angle in circle. If we take a small arc on the circumference then an angle produced by arc is called radian of circle. The radian is said to 1 radian if the radius and the arc are  equal. For measure the angle of the circle this radian is very useful. In this article we are going to see about the measurement of radian.

Radian Measure Circle:

Formula for radian measure in circle:
Radian= Subtended arc length/ Radius length.
Consider an arc length is 's' and radius 'r' and radian is θ.
θ = `s/r`
Unit circle:
Steps for making the measurement the 1 radian:
  • Draw a circle with center as a vertex.
  • Draw one arc on its circumference and it is equal to the radius of the circle.
  • Now the angle at a center is considered as 1 radian.
For unit circle the radius is 1, hence the formula for radian is,
θ=`s/1` =s
For unit circle the radian is as the same value of arc length.
Measure of 1 radian in a circle:
If the radius of the circle is equal to the arc length then the value of radian is 1.
Radian=θ=`r/r`=1
Representation of unit circle:
if arc length is equal to the radius then measured angle is called 1 radian

How to solve Prime Factorization

Definition of Prime Factorization:

Prime factorization is the process in which we write a composite number as a product of its prime factors.
Prime Number
  • A Prime Number is a whole integer, greater than 1, which can be divided only by 1 and itself.
  • The examples of prime numbers are: 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, and 17 ...

Prime Factorization

  • "Prime Factorization" is the result in which prime numbers are multiplied together to get the original number.
Factors:
"Factors" are the numbers you multiply mutually to obtain another number:
  2*3=6
 (2, 3 factor)
In prime factorization, all factors will be prime numbers.
Example: The prime factors of 15 be 3 and 5 (3x5=15, and 3 and 5 are prime numbers.

Hope you like the above explanation. Please leave your comments, if you have any doubts.

Two Step Equation Calculator

Introduction:
Solving the significance of a variable by means of the equations is measured as one of the primary utensils of algebra. An equation is a mathematical account with two mathematical terms separated by an = sign connecting. A variable (say x) is in attendance in at least one side of the equation and our task is to find the value of x. Solving Two steps equation is a simple equation, as the name suggests involves only two steps calculator.

Steps in solving two step equations calculator:

The two-step equation calculator take two steps to solve an equation which contain extra than one process. The two steps include,
  • The first step is to make simpler the equation by means of the inverse of subtraction or addition.
  • The next step is to make simpler the equation further by using the inverse of multiplication or division.

In two-step equations calculator the circumstance for receiving the variables by itself involve the necessity of opposed operation. If a numeral is added or subtracted in one side of the equation then the same number will be added or subtracted on the other side.

Example for Expression Factoring Calculator

Introduction:
Expression factoring is defined as the multiplication of the two expressions and get another expression is called factoring calculator. The factoring calculator denotes the expression multiplication of each variable in the terms.
For Example:
              x2 – x – 2
            (x + 1) (x – 2)
Two expressions has multiplied together you can get the original expression of the given function.

Examples for Expression Factoring Calculator:

Solve the expression by factoring:
            x2 +6x + 9
Solution:
Given that x2 +6x + 9
Given expression have constant 9.
Separate the 9 into two factors
 9 = 3 * 3
 6 = 3 + 3
 So the expression will be x2 + 3x + 3x + 9
Take the x out from the first two variables.
                                           x(x +3) + 3x + 9
Take the 3 as a common from the next
                                           x(x+3) +3(x + 3)
                                                (X+3) (x + 3)
The solution is (x+3) (x +3).

Geometric Quantities

Introduction:

An-1=33-1=32=9

How to simplify Algebraic Expressions

Introduction:
An Algebraic Expression is a combination of numerals, variables and arithmetic operations such as +, -, * and /. In the branch of mathematics, we may use several letters like a, b, x and y which is used to denote numbers. Simplifying extraction of roots, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division on these symbols and real numbers, so that we can get algebraic expressions. The following are some examples of algebraic expressions:
                   2x + 3, (3a + b) (2x – y)
Examples of Simplifying Expressions:
Example 1:
             4x + 7y - 5 + 6x + 12y + 3
Solution:

This algebraic expression can be simplified by determining like terms and then grouping and combining like terms, like this:
+4x and +6x are like terms, and can be combined to give +10x, +7y and +12y combine to give +19y, and -5 and +3 combine to give -2.
So after simplifying, this expression becomes:
                         10x + 19y - 2

How to solve linear relationships

Introduction:

A linear relationship is the wing of linear algebra. A basic function of solving linear algebra is to find the solution of systems of linear equations in some unknowns with the help of known variables. Linear algebra has a demonstration in analytic geometry and the relationship is generalized in operator theory. Linear relationship associates with the families of vectors called vector spaces or linear spaces, and with functions contain one input vector and output vector, according to certain rules.

Example problems for solving linear relationships:

Example 1:

Solve the linear relationship in the equation.
     -3(-x - 6) = 3x - 23
Solution:
Given
-3(-x - 6) = 3x - 23
Multiply factors in left term
3x + 18 = 3x - 23

Subtract 18 to both sides
3x + 18 - 18 = 3x - 23 - 18

Grouping the above terms
3x = 3x - 41

Subtract 3x to both sides
3x - 3x = 3x - 41 -3x

By solving the above term

0x = -41

There is no real value for x, so the above equation has no solutions.

How to estimate Probability with example

Introduction:

Probability is an estimate of the likelihood of the occurrence of an event. An event is a set of possible outcomes resulting from a particular experiment. For example, estimate a possible event when a single six - sided numbered cube is rolled is {1, 4}. That is, the roll could be a 1 or a 4. In general, an event is any subset of a sample space (including the possibility of an empty set).

Estimate Probability – Examples

Example 1: Estimate the probability that an actor will get a film is ‘3/5’ and the probability that he will get on other film is 6/11. If the probability of getting at least one film is 5/7, what is the probability that he will get both the films?
Solution:
Here P(A) = 3/5, P(B) = 6/11
P(A or B)  =  5/7,  (P(A and B) = ?
By addition rule of probability:
P(A or B)  =  P(A) + P(B)  - P(A and B)
= 5/7  =  3/5 + 6/11  -  P(A and B)
or 5/7  =  63/55 – P(A and B)
or P(A and B)  =  63/55 – 5/7 = 166/385
P(A and B) =  166/385
