Definition of Prime Factorization:

Prime factorization is the process in which we write a composite number as a product of its prime factors.
Prime Number
  • A Prime Number is a whole integer, greater than 1, which can be divided only by 1 and itself.
  • The examples of prime numbers are: 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, and 17 ...

Prime Factorization

  • "Prime Factorization" is the result in which prime numbers are multiplied together to get the original number.
Factors:
"Factors" are the numbers you multiply mutually to obtain another number:
  2*3=6
 (2, 3 factor)
In prime factorization, all factors will be prime numbers.
Example: The prime factors of 15 be 3 and 5 (3x5=15, and 3 and 5 are prime numbers.
